About This Blog

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am so excited to be sharing with all of you. We are in the best field ever! This is my 30th year in an elementary school setting. My caseload has covered everything under the sun! Articulation, phonology, language, voice disorders, dysphagia, stuttering, autism, you name it!! I LOVE what I do!

My goal is to help each and every student develop the speech and language skills necessary to successfully access the curriculum in school, as well as the world around them. I truly believe that children need to learn through a multi-modality approach.  All good therapists know that it's the integration of knowledge, expertise and creativity that make lessons fun and  exciting.  At the end of the day, it's all about purpose, intent, and making it meaningful.

Over the past 20+ years that I have supervised student teachers from local universities, I have encouraged them to use their innate talents when planning their lessons and connecting with students. I have always been one to take my creativity for granted, but  realized that this was my gift. It was my way of being able to make a difference. This blog is my gift to YOU, the colleagues I know, will know, or may never know. I want to thank my family for always believing in me and encouraging me; and now I look forward to sharing my 3 decades of experience with you.
